Job Description

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Captain is responsible for overseeing the dining room operations, supervising the restaurant team, and ensuring exceptional guest service. This role acts as a liaison between guests and the kitchen, coordinates service flow, and ensures that dining standards are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a warm and professional first impression
Supervise and coordinate the activities of waitstaff and service attendants
Assign tables and manage floor seating during service hours
Take guest orders when necessary and ensure orders are delivered correctly and promptly
Resolve guest complaints or service issues efficiently and courteously
Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
Assist with training and mentoring new team members
Work closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth food and beverage operations
Oversee table settings, cleanliness, and overall dining ambiance
Maintain accurate billing and ensure smooth guest checkouts
Monitor inventory levels of dining supplies and report shortages

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; degree/diploma in hospitality is preferred
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Guest-focused with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and techniques
Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant software

Work Conditions:

Physically fit; able to stand and walk for long periods
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
