POSITION : Regional Logistics Manager South & East
REPORTS TO : Manager Logistics India

KEY PURPOSE
This role will be responsible for South & East logistics and distribution management for India business which will entail warehousing management, last mile delivery to final customers and cost saving initiatives.
This role will be required to coordinate with planning team, manufacturing plants, logistics partners, customers and sales organization and to build and deploy logistics and distribution strategy to support high levels of customers service / responsiveness at lowest possible cost.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and deploy distribution strategy (route to market) including transportation, warehousing and last mile delivery to support distribution growth.
- Manage logistics from supply plants (3-5 in numbers) to distribution centers across the country (8-10 in numbers)
- Responsible for complete warehousing and CFA management across the country for both ambient and frozen products
- Manage transportation from plant / distribution centers to final customer including route / vehicle planning for both modern and traditional trade to optimize customer service and freight.
- Responsible for ensuring high levels of Customer service (Viz DIFOT, Fill Rate etc.) at least possible Logistics and Distribution cost.
- Responsible for preparing annual logistics budgets and to ensure operations within budgeted spends.
- Direct and control warehousing activities to ensure efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storage, repacking and distribution. Ensure appropriate financial, operational, quality controls and statutory / regulatory compliance to ensure operations in line with corporate requirement.
- Design and facilitate the implementation of innovative and technology driven logistics solutions.
- Use advanced methodologies for operational planning that optimizes Supply Chain Operations` assets to achieve strategic and tactical deliverables.
- Responsible for managing performance of all service providers through contracts / service level agreements, monitoring and operations reviews.
- Establish mechanisms to monitor, review and report KPI s (e.g. cost, customer service, controls etc.) around effective management of logistics and distribution.
- Responsible for developing suppliers / service providers to provide logistics solutions to support efficient and effective distribution.
- Responsible for analyzing and reviewing new and potential customers operational requirements. Prepare and review contracts (including solution designs, pricing and other information).
- Demonstrate teamwork in cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver breakthrough improvements consistent with best demonstrated practices.

INCUMBENT PROFILE
- An engineer with MBA in Operations from a good institute (preferably from NITIE, SP Jain, Symbiosis Operations)

2-4 years
professional experience in Logistics and supply chain management in FMCG industries. - Demonstrated track record of distribution strategy development & implementation.
