Job Description

Position – Engineer / Sr. Engineer

Role – Production - Stainless Steel Expert in

Experience – 5 – 8 Years

Location – Chakan, kharabwadi

Job Purpose

railway car body structures

Role & responsibilities

Plan and execute daily production schedules for stainless steel car body fabrication.
Ensure adherence to approved drawings, welding sequences, and quality standards.
Supervise and guide fabrication teams including fitters, welders, and machine operators.
Monitor stainless steel welding processes (TIG, MIG, MAG) and ensure WPS & PQR compliance.
Control dimensional accuracy and surface finish of car body shells as per specifications.
Coordinate with design, quality, and planning departments to resolve production issues.
Implement lean manufacturing and 5S practices on the shop floor.
Ensure timely availability of raw materials, fixtures, jigs, and tools.
Participate in stage-wise inspections and audits by clients like RDSO/ICF/MRVC or third-party.
Maintain proper documentation including production reports, deviation reports, NCRs, etc.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote safe working practices.
Drive initiatives to improve productivity, reduce rework, and enhance quality.
