Production Engineer (Injection Moulding)

Job Title: Senior Production Engineer – Injection Moulding

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Reports To: Director

Location: Kadi

Experience Required: 6–10 years (preferably in plastic injection moulding for consumer goods or toys)

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

• Supervise daily injection moulding operations to meet production targets.
• Monitor machine performance, cycle times, and material usage to optimize output.
• Ensure timely and efficient changeovers of moulds and materials.

Process Optimization:

• Analyze and troubleshoot process issues such as flash, short shots, warpage, and colour inconsistencies.
• Implement continuous improvement techniques (e.g., Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance cycle time and reduce scrap.

Mould and Machine Maintenance:

• Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines and moulds.
• Evaluate mould condition and recommend refurbishing or replacement when needed.

Quality Assurance:

• Collaborate with the QA team to ensure all moulded parts meet toy safety standards (e.g., EN71, ASTM F963).
• Maintain documentation related to process parameters, quality checks, and deviations.

Team Management:

• Lead and train a team of operators and junior engineers.
• Schedule shifts and allocate manpower for efficient workflow.

Inventory & Materials:

• Ensure availability and proper handling of raw materials and masterbatches.
• Coordinate with the planning and purchase departments for timely replenishment.

Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to and promote workplace safety and health practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Plastics Engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge of injection moulding machines (e.g., Arburg, Haitian, Engel) and moulding materials (ABS, PP, PE, etc.).
• Experience in toy manufacturing or high-volume plastic goods preferred.
• Familiarity with toy industry standards and compliance (e.g., ISO 8124, BIS certification).
• Ability to read technical drawings and use CAD software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
