Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership
: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the plants business objectives. Act as a strategic partner to plant leadership to enhance workforce productivity.
Recruitment & Onboarding
: Manage the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding to ensure the plant is staffed with qualified personnel.
Employee Relations
: Address employee grievances, mediate conflicts, and maintain positive labor-management relations, including managing collective bargaining agreements where applicable.
Compliance
: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., FMLA, EEO, OSHA) and company policies. Stay updated on regulatory changes and conduct regular HR audits.
Performance Management:
Oversee performance appraisal systems, provide coaching to managers on employee relations, and drive initiatives to enhance employee performance.
Training & Development
: Assess training needs, coordinate professional development programs, and ensure employees are equipped with necessary skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
Administer payroll, benefits programs, and general wage increases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Safety & Wellness:
Collaborate with safety managers to support workplace safety programs, manage workers compensation, and promote employee well-being

Preferred candidate profile

Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
Good Team Player
