Phlebotomist

A Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) candidate with 1–2 years of experience is responsible for conducting diagnostic tests, performing blood collection, and ensuring quality sample management, including home collection services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform blood collection using venipuncture or other techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

2. Handle specimen collection, labeling, and transportation for accurate processing.

3. Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests.

4. Manage home sample collection appointments and maintain professionalism during home visits.

5. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment efficiently.

6. Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality protocols.

7. Record and analyze test results accurately for reporting to medical staff.

Skills Required:

1. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in blood collection techniques and lab diagnostics.

2. Experience: 1–2 years of relevant work experience in phlebotomy and diagnostics.

3. Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills for home collection and patient interaction.

4. Attention to Detail: Accuracy in sample handling and test reporting.

5. Time Management: Punctuality in managing home collection schedules and lab tasks.

6. Safety Compliance: Knowledge of infection control and laboratory safety standards.

This role requires a combination of technical skills, patient care, and adherence to healthcare protocols, ensuring accurate diagnostics and quality service delivery.
