We are hiring a dedicated and experienced OT Scrub Nurse specialized in Gynecology to assist in surgical procedures, maintain sterile environments, and support obstetric and gynecological operations. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge in OT procedures and a commitment to patient safety and caree 🔹 Key Responsibilities Assist gynecologists and surgeons during gynecological procedures and deliveries. Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field in the Operation Theatre (OT). Handle surgical instruments and ensure proper sterilization and inventory. Monitor patient vitals during surgical procedures and report any abnormalities. Maintain OT cleanliness and follow strict infection control protocols. Document surgical procedures, instrument counts, and patient data accurately. Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, anesthetists, and ward nurses. Provide pre- and post-operative support to patients when required. Specific Responsibilities: Preparing the Operating Room: Scrub nurses set up the OR, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available, sterile, and organized. Maintaining Sterility: They maintain a sterile field during the procedure, ensuring all instruments and supplies are handled using sterile techniques. Assisting the Surgeon: They pass instruments, prepare surgical drapes, and support the surgeon with various aspects of the procedure, including tying knots, using cautery, and closing tissue layers. Patient Care: They monitor the patient's vital signs, ensure patient comfort, and collaborate with the circulating nurse to provide necessary patient care during the procedure. Post-operative Care: They participate in post-operative care, assisting with dressing changes, transferring patients to recovery, and documenting patient information. Documentation: They meticulously document supplies used, update medical charts, and provide post-surgery instructions to patients and their families.
