Operations Manager

Role & responsibilities

Operational Management:

• Assist the Warehouse Manager in planning, organizing, and directing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of auto spare parts.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and training.
• Ensure adherence to established warehouse procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Monitor and optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency.
• Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

Inventory Management:

• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation with the inventory management system.
• Monitor stock levels and proactively identify potential shortages or overstock situations.
• Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to ensure timely availability of required parts.
• Manage the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Oversee the proper storage and handling of different types of auto spare parts.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Motivate and lead warehouse staff to achieve operational targets and maintain a positive work environment.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Identify training needs and facilitate the development of warehouse personnel.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration within the warehouse and with other departments.
• Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts effectively.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and procedures within the warehouse.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Promote a safety-conscious culture among warehouse staff.
• Ensure compliance with relevant local regulations and company policies.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Assist in preparing regular reports on warehouse performance metrics, such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and efficiency.
• Analyze warehouse data to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of warehouse KPIs.

Preferred candidate profile
