We are looking for a passionate and experienced Online Phonics & Reading Teacher to join our team and teach children from Nursery to Grade 3. Key Responsibilities: Teach phonics, reading, and early literacy skills to children aged 3 to 8 years old in an engaging and interactive manner. Conduct structured, systematic, and multi-sensory lessons that align with BookGuru’s teaching approach. Use explicit instruction to teach letter sounds, blending, segmenting, digraphs, trigraphs, and spelling rules. Differentiate instruction based on students’ reading levels and learning needs. Foster a fun and supportive online learning environment that builds children’s confidence and love for reading. Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to parents. Use digital tools, interactive games, and visual aids to enhance learning. Maintain regular communication with parents and provide progress updates. Requirements: ✅ Experience in teaching phonics and early reading to young children (Nursery to Grade 3). ✅ Strong knowledge of phonics programs and systematic reading instruction (e.g., synthetic phonics, Orton-Gillingham, Jolly Phonics, or similar approaches). ✅ Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate young learners. ✅ Experience in online teaching using platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, or similar. ✅ Ability to create an interactive, multi-sensory learning experience for students. ✅ Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching literacy skills. ✅ Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (preferred but not required if experience is strong). ✅ Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional teaching environment at home. Preferred Qualifications: ⭐ Certification in phonics instruction or reading intervention programs. ⭐ Experience working with struggling readers or children with learning differences. ⭐ Ability to adapt lessons to different learning styles. ⭐ Familiarity with phonics-based reading books like Bob Books or similar series.
