Manager Strategic Sourcing

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate experience in strategic sourcing of direct materials, particularly in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of electronics, resins, molding, packaging, and medical device equipment to identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities.
• Continuously seek alternative sources that meet specifications while bridging communication between Asia and US sites for cost improvements.
• Design and execute RFPs, benchmark contracts, and participate in negotiations as necessary.
• Drive the implementation of sophisticated analytics techniques, including predictive modeling and machine learning, to uncover hidden trends and opportunities.
• Leverage advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SAP BI, and PowerPoint to present findings to executive stakeholders and senior management.
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Engineering, and Executive Leadership, to achieve strategic sourcing goals.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality, delivery, and cost performance while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior sourcing team members, fostering development and supporting career growth.
• Track and manage sourcing performance metrics, ensuring sourcing strategies align with organizational objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts within the sourcing process by identifying inefficiencies and recommending best practices.

Experience Requirement:

• 8-12 years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, with a focus on the medical device or pharmaceutical industries.
• Strong expertise in data analysis and advanced analytics tools.
• Proven track record in leading complex sourcing projects and negotiating supply agreements.
• Experience working with global suppliers and cross-functional teams, particularly in Asia and the US.
• Demonstrated success in optimizing supplier relationships and driving cost savings.
