Job Description – Robotic Maintenance Engineer (Assembly Line)
Position: Robotic Maintenance Engineer
Department: Maintenance – Assembly/Production
Reporting To: Maintenance Manager/Lead
Key Responsibilities1. Preventive Maintenance Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic assembly equipment.
Ensure machines operate at peak performance and minimize downtime.
Extend the life of equipment through regular health checks and upkeep.
2. Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose and repair issues in robotic systems.
Perform PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.) and resolve communication failures between PLC systems.
Reduce machine downtime by addressing electrical, electronic, and control system faults promptly.
3. Vision System Maintenance Maintain and troubleshoot vision systems used for inspection, alignment, and quality control in assembly processes.
Ensure consistent and accurate vision-based operations to maintain product quality.
4. Drive Systems Maintenance Handle maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of Siemens Drives, SEW Drives, and other related motion control systems.
Ensure drive systems support efficient and continuous assembly line operations.
5. Sensing Devices Management Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot various sensors, including proximity, photoelectric, inductive, and safety sensors.
Guarantee precise detection and safe operation of assembly processes.
6. Electrical Hoists Maintenance Carry out maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical hoists.
Ensure hoists are functioning safely and reliably to support material handling on the assembly line.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of robotic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
Hands-on expertise in PLC systems (Siemens/Allen Bradley/etc.).
Experience with vision systems, drive systems, and various sensing devices.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
Strong focus on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational safety.
Problem-solving skills and ability to work under time constraints.
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
3–8 years of relevant hands-on experience in robotic maintenance in manufacturing/automotive industries.
Work Mode: Onsite
