Maintenance Associate

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Robotic Assembly Systems Department: Maintenance / Automation Job Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 2–5 Years Reporting To: Maintenance Manager / Plant Engineering Lead Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer with hands-on experience in robotic assembly lines and automation equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting advanced systems, and ensuring operational uptime for robotic systems and associated automation infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive Maintenance Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic assembly equipment. Ensure continuous and optimal functioning to extend equipment lifespan and minimize downtime. 2. Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in robotic systems. Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and resolve communication faults between different PLC systems. 3. Vision System Maintenance Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot vision systems used for in-line quality checks. Ensure consistent performance to support defect detection and quality assurance. 4. Drive Systems Maintain and service Siemens and SEW variable frequency drives (VFDs). Resolve drive-related faults to maintain uninterrupted production flow. 5. Sensing Devices Install, test, and maintain various industrial sensing devices (e.g., proximity, optical, pressure sensors). Ensure sensors are calibrated and function correctly for safe and efficient machine operation. 6. Electrical Hoists Inspect and maintain electrical hoists used in the plant. Troubleshoot issues to ensure safety and reliability during operation. Requirements: Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing/automation environment. Technical Skills: PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley preferred) Familiarity with SEW and Siemens drive systems Working knowledge of machine vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) Experience with industrial sensors and hoist systems Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits Ability to work under pressure and in rotating shifts Good communication and team collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications (Optional):Experience with robotic arms (e.g., ABB, KUKA, Fanuc) Knowledge of safety protocols (Lockout/Tagout, LOTO) Familiarity with SAP PM or any CMMS tool
