Job Description

Project Planning

To understand the scope of work from the Business Contracts Department
To involve in each and every design steps required for the project.
To update oneself on the status of the project till date by reading all the past correspondence.
To update oneself with latest development on the project from the past stage.
To Study all reports related to the structure.
To enlist the drg requirements/Design input data from other agencies to prevent delay.
To Calculate Project Manhours & ensure that the same is happening in tandem.
To plan the project in an efficient manner.

Project Execution:

To prepare DBR.
To Prepare the structural GA based on the architect Working Drg & DBR.
To Coordinate with all the juniors and implement the entire design process
To prepare design document of the work he has dealt & get it countersigned with his seniors/other PE in case of complex structures.
To coordinate with all agencies.
To follow up periodically with different agencies to seek design/drg inputs.
To attend site/coordination meeting whenever necessary either independantly or along with senior.
To attend to all test report from different agencies & do the necessary
To ensure the accuracy/correctness of the drawing issued.
To complete the work in the stipulated time frame & if any extension required, it has to be discussed or brought to Senior s notice before starting the work.
To Monitor the ongoing works for their efficiency, accuracy and timely completion.
To monitor Material Consumption.
To Ensure that the working methods / design philosophy adopted by the team are in synonymous with the company s standards and interests.
To keep an update of site progress.
To effectively handle project as a whole.
Provide timely support to other departments like BD, QS, BBS, Accounts, QA/QC & QC Projects by sharing project related information as and when sought.

Compliance:

To comply the implementation of Check lists.
To Coordinate & follow up with QAQC dept for approvals
To ensure that the GFC drgs issued are QAQC approved.
To submit the projects to Proof consultant & coordinate the compliance.

Documentation:

To comply the implementation of Document controller (Design).
To do appropriate documentation/filing (Hard form/Soft form-email) as per the company norms.

Team Management:

To prepare Task Planning as per the defined project plans for the team.
Communication of Targets to the team.
Providing regular and appropriate feedback to the team.
To Check the loading sheets / Analysis / Design / Detailing of Juniors.
To Understand the difficulties if any, faced by the team and ensure proper steps to eliminate the same.
To Maintain the morale of his team in adverse conditions of the project stage like major changes in the project, schedule, or team members etc.
Grievance Handling
Monitor team members & evaluate KRA s and complete. Timely Reviews of the teams
Training the team from time to time
Retention of the team by creating scope for Career Progression.

Client Management:

Timely feedback from Client on work progress and taking corrective actions against issues, if any.
Handling Client s calls and emails professionally and tactfully.
Maintain the highest standard on Work related Ethics without misusing the Company s Goodwill.
