The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality injection moulded parts for FMCG caps and closures, incorporating bi-injection technology. This role requires a deep understanding of injection Moulding processes, materials, and design principles to create efficient, cost-effective, and aesthetically pleasing products. Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Create detailed 3D and 2D designs for injection moulded screw caps, flip-top caps, snap-on caps, spouts, tamper-evident solutions using Siemens NX CAD software, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and aesthetic appeal. Bi-Injection Technology: Integrate bi-injection technology into product designs for anti-counterfeiting, enhanced performance and appearance. Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and project management teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications and market requirements. Work closely with assembly part like bottle or jar to fulfil a flawless function and assembly. Independent assessment of manufacturability, involvement of the modelling and simulation department in line with requirements. Collaboration in the creation or refinement of ALPLA guidelines and standardizations. Defining project scope: independently checking and collecting customer briefing for the product design development. Analysis: Carry out tolerance analysis and comply with ALPLA guidelines appropriately. Involve in analysis and optimisation of first trial sample to assembly parts fit and function. Education and Training: Willingness for further education and training. Travel flexibility: Willingness to travel within reasonable limits. E.g. key meetings in projects and/or troubleshooting events. Independent planning and execution of customer meetings. The Electrical & Instrumentation Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE is responsible for ensuring that electrical and instrumentation components, systems, and materials supplied by vendors meet quality and regulatory standards. The role involves supplier assessments, audits, process improvements, and defect resolution to maintain product reliability and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities Supplier Quality Management Develop and implement Inspection test plan (ITP) fs for electrical and instrumentation components. Conduct supplier audits, process assessments, and capability evaluations. Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes Monitor supplier performance using key metrics (PPM, SCARs, delivery compliance, etc.) Ensure suppliers comply with industry standards such as **ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IEC, ATEX, and ANSI Inspection & Testing Review and approve quality control plans. Conduct incoming material inspections, failure analysis, and root cause investigations. Work with suppliers to establish robust test and validation procedures. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards like IEC 61508 (Functional Safety), ISA, and UL Process Improvement & Problem Solving. Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for supplier-related defects. Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives at supplier sites. Implement supplier development programs to enhance quality and reduce risks. Cross-functional Collaboration Work with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to resolve quality issues. Review technical drawings, specifications, and quality plans with design teams. Support supplier selection and qualification for new projects. Documentation & Reporting Maintain supplier quality documentation, audit reports, and quality records. Generate reports on supplier performance, trends, and non-conformances. Travel Requirements 50-60% travel to supplier locations for audits, inspections, and quality reviews. Travel may be domestic and international, depending on supplier locations. Must be able to work effectively in different time zones and cultural environments Technical Skills Knowledge of electrical components (switchgear, transformers, sensors, PLCs, etc.) Familiarity with instrumentation devices (flow meters, pressure transmitters, control valves, etc.) Understanding of electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical specifications Proficiency in quality tools like FMEA, 8D, APQP, and SPC. Experience with auditing suppliers and conducting root cause analysis Should have hands on experience in Inspecting Skid E&I. MCC panels, PLC Automation systems, Process Instruments, Cables, Cable Trays, Motors. Know-how of Electrical and C&I design basis. Hands on Experience in 8D RCA. Hands on experience in reading, interpreting, and highlighting Improvement on P&ID & Electrical Schematics Familiar with Mechanical rotating equipment and Final testing requirements. Familiar with significance of MOC and standards. Familiar with various manufacturing processes like, Machining, Weldings, Injection moulding, Casting, Painting, Blastings , etc Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. Certifications (Preferred) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) . ASQ - (good to have) Six Sigma Green/Black Belt- (good to have) Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001) Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field. 8-15 years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or related areas. 1. RFQ stage RMC working for Cluster /Speedometer/VCU/TCU. Explore ZBC for Plastic. Compare quote received from LTS Source , discuss along commodity managers to optimized costing . Finalize supplier and costing inline to Varroc agreed norm and submit RMC to RFQ team as per target date. 2. Identification of right supplier RFQ to LTS suppliers for Mass Production Part feasibility, Capacity Review. Capacity Assessment, review capacity & check for fulfillment of NPD s additional requirement. Evaluate the supplier based on QCD. Supplier on boarding process involvement for new process & demand of new manufacturing set up. 3. Tool and Part development Make Capex Approval sheet, after approval make PR & give commercial team for PO. Ensure Part MFG feasibility signoff among CD , Supplier & R&D before Go ahead to tool development . Tracking tool development activities wrt to mutual agreement with supplier inline project timeline. Visit supplier to track component development to ensure component development is on track / time. Conduct T0 trial at suppliers end, make sure layout inspection & after confirmation submit samples for QA Insp. PPAP & Handover Do PPAP activity along with SQA at supplier manufacturing site . Conduct pre PPAP audit to check suppliers readiness on jigs, fixtures, measuring gauges, and machine availability Plan PPAP audit with SQA / QA and ensure to compliance of PPAP audit, Capacity assessment, Run at Run. Get PSW signoff from SQA / QA after closure PPAP audit points. Submit PSW, Run at rate observation and CSC sheet to release Open PO to Commodity Manager. Tracking supplies & PPM for 3 months to ensure CD compliance Work closely with CFT to understand any QA issues in built or MFG and ensure smooth ramp up as per customer. 5. Team Management Lead team, Train them for component departmental activities, process study , Run at Rate etc. Ensure component development on track inline PM / Customer milestone.
