Quality Engineer

Scope:

-Quality management for injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion parts

-Cross-functional collaboration for process improvement and audit readiness

Key responsibilities:

1) Rejection analysis and control across in-house IMD, blow molding, and extrusion processes; maintain rejection levels within targets

2) Analyze trends and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for internal quality issues

3) Collaborate with production, tooling, and design teams to resolve recurring quality issues

4) Implement and maintain quality control systems to manage non-conformances effectively

5) Investigate and close customer complaints in a timely and structured manner

6) Ensure validation of process changes and maintain validation lead times as per defined standards

7) Manage and support IMS, statutory, process, and product certification audits; ensure documentation and traceability

8) Drive process improvements using Value Engineering/Value Analysis to enhance product quality and reduce manpower dependency

9) Ensure safety, 5S, and housekeeping compliance in the work area

10) Maintain adherence to all statutory and regulatory product requirements; drive implementation where gaps exist

Technical:

1) Sound knowledge of injection/blow molding & extrusion quality standards

2) Proficiency in quality tools: 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, CAPA

3) Exposure to internal audits (IMS/ISO), product certification processes

4) Process validation & defect analysis techniques

5) Understanding of statistical quality methods (SPC, MSA preferred)

6) Familiarity with safety, statutory, and customer compliance protocols

7) Knowledge on SAP QM (Preferred)
