Job Description

The role of an EXIM Engineer is crucial in ensuring the efficiency of global trade operations for a company. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the movement of goods across international borders while complying with complex trade laws and regulations. Building and maintaining relationships with logistics providers, CHA, and end customers is essential for successful coordination. By effectively managing these aspects, you will contribute to timely product delivery and cost-effectiveness, supporting the company's market demands and competitive edge. Your expertise in international trade agreements, tariffs, and compliance standards will play a key role in minimizing risks and optimizing the company's supply chain operations. As an EXIM Engineer, your responsibilities will involve: - Understanding custom bonded warehouse import procedures, MOOWR, EPCG license, Advance license, and their respective guidelines and processes. - Maintaining accurate records of inbound and outbound movements in the custom bonded warehouse. - Ensuring timely filing of returns and reports as per MOOWR requirements, while also maintaining updated records of procured materials, consumption data, wastage data, and duty deferment data. - Liaising with customs officials and managing customs-related audits for the bonded warehouse. - Participating in the closure of custom licenses and overseeing the preparation and processing of import and export documentation in compliance with customs regulations. - Managing compliance with international trade laws, including obtaining necessary licenses and permits. - Developing and nurturing relationships with internal stakeholders, warehouse consultants, and external stakeholders. - Engaging in daily tasks such as process improvement, inventory control, and monitoring targets. The ideal candidate for this role should possess: - An MBA in Logistics, or a degree in BCOM or MCOM with certification in warehouse or Import & Export. - 8-10 years of experience in warehouse management or EXIM management. - Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements (FTA) across different countries. - Basic understanding of costing, taxation, Inco terms, logistics, import processes, and customs duties. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. - Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics ERP system is advantageous.
