Plant HR Executive (Rotational Shift)

Solar Module Manufacturing Plant

Job Purpose:

To manage and execute day-to-day HR activities at the plant level, ensuring smooth HR operations for employees working in shifts. This includes attendance, manpower planning, statutory compliance, grievance handling, welfare activities, and coordination with the central HR team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Attendance & Shift Management

  • Monitor daily attendance of workers and staff for all shifts.
  • Prepare and maintain shift rosters in coordination with production.
  • Track overtime, leave, and absenteeism; escalate discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely updating of attendance records in the HRMS.

2. Manpower Planning & Deployment

  • Ensure required manpower availability shift-wise as per production needs.
  • Coordinate with contractors for manpower supply if applicable.
  • Maintain records of daily manpower strength and deployment.

3. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling

  • Act as first point of contact for employee issues on the shop floor.
  • Resolve minor grievances promptly or escalate to HR Manager.
  • Maintain healthy industrial relations within the plant.
  • Support disciplinary action procedures as per company policy.

4. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws applicable to the manufacturing unit.
  • Coordinate with contractors for statutory documentation (PF, ESIC, wages, etc.).
  • Support internal and external audits related to HR.

5. Welfare & Engagement

  • Oversee implementation of employee welfare facilities (canteen, uniforms, transport, etc.).
  • Conduct periodic engagement activities for shop floor employees.
  • Assist in organizing training programs for workers on safety, skill enhancement, and compliance.

6. MIS & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HR reports (attendance, OT, absenteeism, shift-wise manpower).
  • Submit timely reports to the central HR team and Plant Head.

7. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Support HSE initiatives by HR for workers (PPE, safety training, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with safety norms in coordination with the safety team.

Key Skills Required:

  • Good knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with attendance & payroll software.
  • Strong people handling skills for blue-collar workforce.
  • Conflict resolution and grievance handling.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate in HR / Industrial Relations / Labor Welfare.
  • Additional certification in Labor Laws is an advantage.

Experience:

  • 1-4 years of experience in plant HR in a manufacturing unit.
  • Experience in handling a shift-based workforce is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work in rotational shifts covering all plant operations.
  • Should be open to working on weekends/holidays if production requires.
