Job Description

Job Title: HPC (High-Performance Computing) Engineer

Experience: 6–10 Years

Location: Chennai, India

Notice Period: Immediate to 60 Days

Education: BE/BTech/MCA/MSc (in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields)

Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and provide ongoing support for high-performance computing (HPC) clusters.
  • Develop Bill of Materials (BOMs) for HPC hardware components and manage vendor relations.
  • Implement scalable and resilient HPC architectures using both CPU and GPU technologies.
  • Configure and optimize Linux-based operating systems for HPC environments (SuSE, RedHat, Rocky, Ubuntu).
  • Ensure efficient interconnects, robust storage systems, and performance-driven configurations.
  • Translate performance requirements into system-level specifications and ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Provide quality scripts, golden images, documentation, and procedures for manufacturing and support teams.
  • Support product design and transition of new HPC solutions into production environments.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in HPC systems and cluster management.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Linux Systems (SuSE, RedHat, Rocky, Ubuntu)
  • Storage configuration and maintenance
  • Server, GPU, Networking, Storage, BIOS & BMC
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP.
  • Scripting proficiency with Shell and Python.
  • Experience with PXE/Netboot, Linux HA, and System-D.
  • Knowledge and experience with configuration management tools like Salt, Chef, or Puppet.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in DevOps toolchains:
  • Jenkins, Git-based repositories
  • Container technologies like Singularity and Docker
  • Exposure to:
  • Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Apache/Nginx web servers, HA Proxy for load balancing
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and infrastructure automation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Day shift
