Key Responsibilities: Select and size key HVAC components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, refrigerants, and controls for chillers and heat pumps. Prepare technical specifications, selection reports, and bills of materials (BOMs) in alignment with project requirements. Utilize HVAC design and selection software such as Bitzer, Unilab, or OEM-specific tools for simulations and performance calculations. Evaluate and validate component offerings from vendors and manufacturers to ensure compliance with engineering standards. Collaborate with R&D and product development teams during prototyping, testing, and validation phases. Ensure system design adheres to relevant standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, ISHRAE) and regulatory guidelines. Work closely with internal departments including sales, procurement, and production for end-to-end project execution. Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, including datasheets, manuals, and submittals. Experience of using 1D component and system modeling tools such as Coil Designer, VapSyc or any other commercially available tools. Proficiency in using programming tools such as EES, MATLAB, Visual Basic (VBA), or Python for large-set data analysis. Experience in result analysis and using tools such as ANSYS Fluent/ Icepak/ FloTherm/ Thermal Desktop or other similar tools, for analyzing various cooling & heating systems, and able to summarize conclusions is a plus. Proficiency in design using 3D CAD software tools such as SolidWorks/ Creo/ CATIA is a plus etc.
