Head of Department (HOD) Pharmacy

Operations Management: Oversee the daily workflow of the pharmacy, ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of medications, maintaining adequate inventory, and adhering to established policies and procedures. Staff Management: Hire, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and other personnel. Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives, such as medication safety programs, medication error reporting, and adverse event reporting. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations regarding pharmacy operations, licensing, and medication dispensing. Fiscal Management: Develop and manage the department budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality patient care. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure optimal patient care and medication management. Continuing Education: Stay updated on current trends, advancements, and regulatory changes in pharmacy practice.
