Job Description

Job Objective

Lead fabric sourcing, cost optimization, and technical development through a strong understanding of yarn structures, pricing, and behavior. This role involves managing sourcing teams and coordinating with weavers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality grey and RFD fabrics across cotton, viscose, polyester, and blends.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate fabric samples for quality, feasibility, and pricing.
Source yarn and fabrics ensuring the best cost-to-quality ratio.
Accurately calculate yarn cost based on structure, count, and composition.
Coordinate with weavers for yarn supply and job work.
Oversee sourcing and delivery of grey and RFD fabrics.
Monitor market trends and innovations in fabric sourcing.
Lead and mentor a team of merchandisers/sourcing professionals.
Maintain strong supplier/vendor relationships and negotiate prices.
Collaborate with production teams for smooth development and dispatch.
