1. Documentation Management:

1. Preparing and managing all necessary export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other customs-related documents.
2. Ensuring accuracy and compliance of all export documents with relevant regulations and company policies.

2. Logistics Coordination:

1. Coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to arrange transportation and ensure timely delivery of goods.
2. Tracking shipments and proactively addressing any delays or issues that may arise during transit.

3. Compliance:

1. Ensuring compliance with all applicable import and export laws, regulations, and trade agreements.
2. Staying updated on changes in customs regulations and trade policies.

4. Relationship Management:

1. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
2. Communicating effectively with all parties involved in the export process.

5. Reporting and Analysis:

1. Preparing reports on export activities, including shipment status, costs, and other relevant metrics.
2. Analysing data to identify areas for improvement and optimize export processes.

6. Other Responsibilities:

1. Negotiating freight rates and other costs associated with export shipments.
2. Identifying and resolving any issues related to export shipments, such as customs clearance delays or documentation errors.
3. Maintaining organized records of all export transactions and related documentation.
4. Staying informed about market trends and developing strategies to increase export sales.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of International Trade Regulations:

  In-depth understanding of import/export laws, customs procedures, and trade agreements.

• Documentation Expertise:

  Proficiency in preparing and managing export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.

• Logistics & Supply Chain Knowledge:

  Familiarity with logistics operations, freight forwarding, and shipping procedures.

• Communication & Negotiation Skills:

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to negotiate effectively with various stakeholders.

• Organizational & Time Management Skills:

  Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

• Problem-Solving Skills:

  Ability to identify and resolve issues related to export shipments.

• Computer Skills:

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
