Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Maintenance:
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems including lighting, generators, power panels, and circuits within the hospital.
  • Ensure all electrical installations and repairs meet hospital standards, local electrical codes, and safety regulations.
  • Preventive Maintenance:
  • Perform routine checks on electrical systems, such as emergency generators, fire alarms, and medical equipment to ensure operational safety.
  • Create and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting:
  • Quickly identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations.
  • Respond to emergency electrical service requests promptly, particularly in critical care areas and patient rooms.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols, ensuring that all electrical work is carried out with the highest standards of safety.
  • Keep up-to-date with electrical regulations, hospital protocols, and new technologies relevant to the healthcare sector.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Work closely with hospital management and other departments to address electrical needs and ensure the smooth operation of all electrical systems.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and report issues to the Facilities Manager as necessary.
  • Emergency Systems:
  • Monitor and maintain emergency power supply systems, ensuring backup generators and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) are fully functional at all times.
  • Conduct routine tests of emergency power systems and document results.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid electrical trade certification or license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with hospital systems such as HVAC, fire alarms, and medical gas systems.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient practices and technologies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in confined spaces or elevated areas.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time – may require on-call or emergency shift work.
  • Work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, with the possibility of exposure to electrical hazards, noise, and other hospital-specific conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
