Electrical Technician

Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical principles, safety practices, and technical documentation, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:Install, test, and maintain electrical systems and components in compliance with codes and regulations. Diagnose and repair electrical issues using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and testing equipment. Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to implement upgrades and new installations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system modifications. Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety standards. Operate tools and equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, wire strippers, and conduit benders. Assist with the design and planning of electrical systems for new projects. Qualifications:Diploma or Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics, or a related field. Proven experience as an electrical technician or similar role. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical safety codes. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Valid [state/national] electrical certification/license, if required. Preferred Skills:Experience in [industry-specific tools, e.g., HVAC, industrial automation, solar systems, etc.] Strong computer skills for maintenance tracking and diagnostics. Knowledge of energy management systems and practices. Work Environment:May require travel to off-site locations. May involve working in industrial or outdoor settings. Shift work, overtime, and emergency call-outs may be required depending on business needs.
