As the Director of Automation, you will partner with Enterprise Software Engineering and Architecture teams to define standards and guidelines for Intelligent Automations.
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute GSK s AI-driven automation strategy , aligning long-term business objectives with the transformative potential of artificial intelligence and digital innovation.
- Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the entire lifecycle of AI-powe'red automation solutions , from opportunity assessment and intelligent intake management to development, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Ecosystem Development: Build and scale an intelligent automation ecosystem that integrates AI-enabled tools and platforms, creating a unified delivery framework to drive adaptive, data-driven solutions.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of experts skilled in RPA, cognitive services, APIs, and generative AI technologies, fostering innovation and excellence in intelligent automation delivery.
- Governance and Compliance: Establish enterprise guiderails/guardrails tailored to AI-powe'red automation , ensuring security, compliance, and governance standards while enabling intelligent and federated automation use cases.
- Business Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, leveraging AI to proactively identify , assess, and deliver automation opportunities that enhance operational efficiency and unlock new business value.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage budgets and financial models, including chargeback mechanisms and ROI tracking for AI-driven automation investments , in collaboration with governance and business teams.
- Delivery Excellence: Ensure the quality and success of AI-enabled automation projects by addressing complex challenges with data-driven insights and predictive analytics.
- Process Optimization: Use AI to lead initiatives that redefine and optimize business processes, workflows, and BPM tools, enabling intelligent decision-making and enhanced scalability.
bachelors or M aster s degree in computer science , Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 8 years of experience in Automation or Technology management roles.
- Expertise in Automation technologies such as RPA, cognitive services, low code/no code platforms ( eg, Automation Anywhere, Mendix , Microsoft Power and Copilot Studio .
- Proven experience working with Generative AI toolsets as part of core automation delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver enterprise-scale automation projects.
- Experience with business process modeling, BPM tools, and workflow redesign for automation.
- Extensive exposure to delivery models involving supplier and offshore resources.
- Experience working in regulated industries is preferred.
- Strong ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, including geographically dispersed and matrixed teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change .
- Comprehensive knowledge of automation governance frameworks, security standards, and compliance protocols.
- Proficiency in Agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
