Desktop Engineer

You are required to work as a Desktop Engineer (L1, L2) in Pune. Your responsibilities will include providing first-level support for all desktop calls, software configuration and installation for desktop support, troubleshooting and resolution of desktop operations, coordinating with hardware vendors for hardware breakdowns and support, offering first-level business application support for troubleshooting software applications, addressing URL access/login/password issues for business applications, and coordinating with software vendors for troubleshooting and applying software patches. You will also be responsible for coordinating with Axis Bank IT and Information Security team for day-to-day operations related to obtaining firewall approvals, access to specific applications, and software installations, coordinating with Axis Bank IT team for installing compliance software like antivirus, configuring user email IDs, setting up printer drivers for local and network printers, providing on-site support for patch and antivirus updates, basic system administration tasks such as space management, verifying backups and DR replication, maintaining hardware asset inventory, ensuring no unauthorized software is loaded on desktops/laptops, handling IT-related tasks, capturing tickets in Unidesk Portal, managing Axis Finances IT asset inventory, preparing monthly end-user reports, and performing manual patching/upgrading software on all AFL end-user systems as required. Additionally, your responsibilities will include installing desktop/laptop software and operating systems as needed, tracking and closing assigned calls, and performing any other IT-related work.
