, you will play a pivotal role in restoring vision and improving the quality of life for patients with corneal conditions through advanced surgical procedures and compassionate care.The role requires a combination of strong clinical expertise, surgical precision, and patient-centric care. 2 to 8 years of experience
in ophthalmology, with specialized training in cornea-related surgeries and treatments.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients with corneal and anterior segment conditions using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools.
- Perform a wide range of corneal surgeries including, but not limited to, penetrating keratoplasty, lamellar keratoplasty, DALK, DSAEK, DMEK, and corneal cross-linking.
- Manage complex cases of corneal infections, injuries, and degenerative disorders.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care with precision and attention to detail to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
- Collaborate with general ophthalmologists and other sub-specialists to provide comprehensive eye care.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, surgical options, prognosis, and post-operative care requirements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and surgical notes in compliance with clinical protocols and regulations.
- Participate in clinical audits, case discussions, CME programs, and knowledge-sharing sessions within the hospital.
- Keep updated with the latest advances and research in corneal surgery and ophthalmology.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- MBBS with MS/DOMS/DNB in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution.
- Fellowship or specialization in Cornea Surgery or Cornea and External Eye Disease is preferred.
- 2 to 8 years of post-PG experience with hands-on expertise in corneal surgical procedures.
- Strong clinical acumen in diagnosing and managing anterior segment pathologies.
- Excellent surgical hand skills and experience using surgical microscopes and instruments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families with empathy and clarity.
- A team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Preferred Attributes:
- Active registration with the Medical Council of India or relevant state council.
- Prior experience working in a multispecialty hospital or eye care institution.
- A research-oriented mindset and interest in academic contributions is a plus
