Role Overview We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert in English who also brings strong expertise in SEO-driven content writing. This role involves creating high-quality, curriculum-aligned English learning content - from grammar and vocabulary to comprehension and writing skills - optimized for digital platforms and search engines. You'll be the go-to person for English content across the site and will work closely with a team of designers, editors, and SEO strategists to deliver top-tier educational content. Key Responsibilities English Content Development Develop grammar lessons, comprehension passages, vocabulary lists, writing prompts, and more. Write engaging and educational content for Grades 112, aligned with national curricula. Include exercises, examples, usage contexts, and topic breakdowns. SEO & Organic Content Strategy Perform keyword research around English learning topics and student search behavior. Optimize all content for on-page SEO: headings, meta descriptions, readability, internal linking, etc. Create pillar pages and clusters for grammar, literature, reading, and writing sections. Editing, QA & Review Collaborate with editors for grammatical and structural quality. Peer-review content created by other writers or freelancers. Maintain consistency in tone, readability, and pedagogical flow. Review and mentor junior writers/content creators (if applicable). Required Skills & Experience Educational Qualification Bachelors / Master’s in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field. Experience teaching or creating English content for K–12 is preferred. Writing & SEO Expertise 4+ years in educational content writing with SEO exposure. Proven track record in creating English-learning content that ranks. Deep understanding of search intent, readability metrics, and content UX. Tools & Workflow Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), Google Docs, Sheets, Copyscape, Grammarly, etc. Exposure to content workflow/project management tools (e.g., Notion, Trello, Asana). Content Authenticity & Quality Standards Content must be human-created and pedagogically accurate. While AI tools (like ChatGPT or Jasper etc) can be used for ideation or support, final content must not be AI-generated or AI-dependent. All content will undergo strict quality checks to ensure accuracy, originality, and compliance with academic standards Nice to Have Experience writing for global English exams (IELTS, TOEFL, SAT). Creative writing, storytelling, or scriptwriting for educational videos. Familiarity with AI tools for idea generation and outline building.
