Business Analytics

As a Business Analyst at PhonePe Limited, you will play a crucial role in the pod strategy by defining critical metrics, monitoring performance trends, and influencing interventions based on performance. You will collaborate closely with the business and product functions to understand the business problem and translate them into the right analytical problem statements. Your responsibilities will include owning the insight generation phase, conducting deep and thorough analysis to provide unbiased answers, and presenting evidence-backed data-driven hypotheses to influence decisions. In this role, you will move beyond being just the "Data person" and contribute with individual thoughts on improving critical metrics for the pod. As an integral part of the team, you are expected to act as the analytics and visualization subject matter expert, ensuring that dashboards are designed and built in a way that facilitates easy consumption of data by the pod. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring other analysts in the team, actively participating in the hiring process, and assisting in the onboarding process of new team members. To excel in this position, you should possess a minimum of 4 years of analytics experience in relevant roles, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and a penchant for business with curiosity to understand how products work. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to manipulate and consolidate multiple data sources for dashboarding and analysis is essential. You should have an intuition for data, the ability to handle big data sources, and a strong working knowledge of Excel and visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, and QlikView. Knowledge of data-analysis languages such as R, Python, and core statistical concepts is expected. Experience in building ML models is advantageous but not mandatory. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial, and candidates who can articulate the story behind their analysis will have an advantage.
