Australian Accounting

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine financial statements and reports in accordance with AASB and IFRS.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure timely reconciliation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST, and other tax filings as per ATO regulations.
• Process accounts payable and receivable.
• Monitor budgets and forecasts; provide variance analysis.
• Support payroll processing and superannuation reporting.
• Advise on cost-reduction and profit-improvement opportunities.
• Assist in the implementation of financial systems and process improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CA qualified (or working towards certification).
• 1–3 years of accounting experience in an Australian setting.
• Strong knowledge of AASB, GST, and income tax regulations.
• Experience with accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and organisational skills.
