Role & responsibilities: A Car Sales Assistant Manager supports the Sales Manager in overseeing the sales operations of a car dealership, focusing on maximizing sales and achieving targets while ensuring customer satisfaction. They assist in hiring, training, and motivating sales staff, as well as coordinating with other departments. Key Responsibilities: Sales Performance: Assist in setting and achieving sales targets. Monitor sales performance and analyze market trends. Track key sales metrics and provide reports. Develop and implement sales strategies. Team Management: Assist in hiring, training, and motivating sales personnel. Monitor the performance of sales staff and provide feedback. Lead team meetings and conduct coaching sessions. Address any issues or concerns with sales staff. Sales Process: Assist customers with financing, trade-ins, and other purchase-related inquiries. Facilitate the sales process, including vehicle appraisal and test drives. Ensure smooth and efficient sales transactions. Work with management during the financing process. Coordination: Coordinate with finance, inventory, and other departments to ensure smooth sales operations. Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve sales processes. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process. Build strong customer relationships and foster a positive customer experience. Resolve customer complaints and issues effectively. Other Duties: Maintain a clean and well-organized sales area. Stay informed about competitor activities and market trends. Assist with advertising and promotional efforts. Prepare reports and maintain accurate records. Skills and Qualifications: Proven sales experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to motivate and coach sales staff. Strong knowledge of automotive products and services. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
