Assistant Manager - Information Technology

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Linux System Administrator with strong experience in Kubernetes (K8s) to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Linux-based systems and ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our containerized applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Linux systems (preferably Rocky Linux, RHEL, or Ubuntu).
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (on-prem and/or cloud).
• Automate system tasks and deployments using tools like Ansible, Python, or shell scripting.
• Monitor and improve system performance and reliability.
• Implement security measures, patch management, and compliance practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage container orchestration using Kubernetes, Helm, and related tools.
• Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of containers (Docker) and container orchestration.
• Experience with Linux shell scripting and automation tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Familiarity with hypervisors tools (VMware , Openstack).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) and RHCE.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible.
• Understanding of networking concepts related to Kubernetes (Ingress, Services, DNS).
