KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understand written or oral brief from client (business problem)
  • Ensure Data Veracity as per problem brief; detect and flag anomalies or errors to Project Manager
  • Hypothesis building
  • Statistical model development and ensuring statistical hygiene of models
  • Follow process to ensure accuracy and deliver projects as per timelines
  • Write model findings with simple insights which make marketing sense
  • Try different things to get to the best solution
  • Train younger team members on the process
  • Use visualization in Excel / PowerBI to prepare analytics results for clients
  • Use basic programming to automate simple repetitive tasks in Excel Macros / VBA / R / Python
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to think logically and solve issues - trouble-shoot problems in code or try a different approach if something is not working in the defined process
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral) are essential
  • Ability to document analysis (data and model findings) and simple processes
  • Good attitude and willingness to learn new things and experiment to get to the best solution
  • Should be a strong team player - work closely with team-mates and Project Manager
  • Willingness to stretch to deliver to tight schedules
  • Demonstrate independence in planning own work and executing it on time and with good quality
QUALIFICATIONS
  • The ideal candidate will have consistent scholastic performance
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering from premiere institute OR Graduate or Post-Graduate in Statistics
  • Experience and knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word, Powerpoint is a must
  • Any programming knowledge will be an added advantage. Python / R skills preferred
PRIOR EXPERIENCE
  • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience (Market Mix Modeling)
  • Knowledge of data analytics will be an added advantage
