We are looking for an experienced and motivatedAssistant Manager - Legalto join our legal team. This role requires a professional with 2 to 5 years of experience in handling legal matters, offering advice on corporate legal issues, and assisting in various legal processes. The ideal candidate will have a Full-Time LLB degree and experience in drafting contracts, legal research, compliance, and supporting dispute resolution. This role will involve working closely with internal teams, external legal advisors, and management to ensure that all legal requirements and best practices are followed. Key Responsibilities: Contract Drafting & Review: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents including commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and employment contracts. Ensure legal terms and conditions are clear, accurate, and aligned with company interests while complying with relevant laws and regulations. Legal Research & Compliance: Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and case law to provide legal insights for decision-making. Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and international laws, including industry-specific regulations. Assist in preparing and filing necessary legal documents and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Dispute Resolution & Litigation: Support the management of legal disputes, claims, and litigation processes, including liaising with external counsel and assisting in the development of litigation strategies. Assist in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements. Monitor and manage ongoing litigation cases and legal risks. Corporate Governance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and maintain statutory records for the company. Assist in the preparation and filing of mandatory corporate documents with regulatory bodies, including resolutions and annual filings. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all legal processes. Legal Advisory & Business Support: Provide proactive and practical legal advice to internal teams (e.g., HR, finance, operations, etc.) on various business operations, compliance issues, and contract matters. Review and advise on matters related to intellectual property, labor law, and other business-specific legal issues. Collaboration with External Counsel: Work with external legal advisors to manage complex legal matters and seek external counsel for specialized legal advice when needed. Coordinate with external counsel for legal proceedings and ensure compliance with legal timelines. Legal Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks affecting the business and assist in the development of mitigation strategies. Ensure legal documentation and agreements protect the company's interests and minimize exposure to liability. Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Full-TimeLLB(Bachelor of Laws) degree from a recognized law school. Experience: 2 to 5 yearsof experience in a legal role, ideally within a corporate environment or in-house legal team. Experience in drafting contracts, handling compliance issues, and supporting dispute resolution is essential. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in legal research and ability to analyze legal issues effectively. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools (LexisNexis, Manupatra, etc.). Personal Attributes: High ethical standards and integrity in handling confidential information. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well with both internal and external stakeholders. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to think critically and solve problems.
