Location: Chennai Work Mode: Work from Office Salary: INR 1500000 - 2200000 per annum Joining Time / Notice Period: Immediate – 60 days Job Purpose :- We are looking for a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer with specialized experience in SACS software to contribute to the design and structural analysis of offshore infrastructure for top-tier Oil & Gas clients. This role involves working on a variety of challenging offshore projects, including fixed platforms, jackets, topsides, and subsea structures, across different engineering phases such as feasibility studies, FEED, and detailed engineering. Roles and Responsibilities :- Conduct structural design and analysis of offshore structures, including jackets, topsides, and subsea systems, using SACS. Perform evaluations for in-place conditions, fatigue, seismic, and accidental loading in alignment with relevant standards such as API, DNV, ISO, and ABS. Generate comprehensive design calculations, engineering reports, and technical documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., piping, mechanical, and naval architecture) to ensure fully integrated design solutions. Review client specifications and project requirements to ensure technical compliance Carry out load-out, transportation, and installation analysis of offshore structures. Assess the structural integrity of aging assets and recommend modifications, reinforcements, or decommissioning as needed. Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and HAZID/HAZOP workshops. Provide technical support for proposal efforts, including developing estimates and evaluating vendor bids. Must-Have Qualifications and Experience :- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. 12+ years of overall experience in offshore structural engineering, with a minimum of 8 years using SACS. Deep understanding of offshore design codes: API RP 2A, DNVGL-ST-0126, ISO 19902, and ABS rules. Proven experience with fatigue analysis, dynamic response studies, and both linear and nonlinear structural analysis. Solid grasp of environmental loading such as wind, wave, and current forces affecting offshore assets. Familiarity with offshore construction practices including installation and decommissioning techniques. Proficiency with structural tools such as STAAD.Pro, ABAQUS, ANSYS, or FEMAP is a plus.
