Xpetize - Applications Support Engineer

As an Applications Support professional with over 5 years of experience, you will be responsible for monitoring application performance and implementing enhancements to ensure stability. Your role will involve applying automation and software solutions to streamline manual tasks and diagnosing and resolving issues on various application platforms such as data platforms, databases, API services, batch processes, and CRM applications. You will address issues related to operating systems, networking, and databases in both cloud and on-premises environments and handle live production incidents by debugging application and infrastructure issues. Additionally, you will be expected to develop enhancements to improve system software performance, availability, and reliability. Collaboration with software engineers and QA teams will be essential to meet non-functional requirements. You will also document system knowledge, create runbooks for critical information, and maintain and monitor the deployment of servers, Docker containers, and databases. Logging tickets in IT service management tools and ensuring their resolution will be part of your daily responsibilities. This role will require you to work in various shifts, including holidays and weekends on a rotation basis, and to follow Agile and Kanban methodologies to manage planned and unplanned tasks effectively. Coordination with the team to ensure task completion and maintaining continuity in work will be crucial. You will be expected to prepare status reports, support metrics, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with teams in the US and India. Your willingness to learn from senior team mentors, take on tasks outside your routine or comfort zone, and be a self-starter will be appreciated in this role.,
