VMware Administrator

 We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Administrator with specialized expertise in VMware Virtual SAN (vSAN) and/or Azure VMware Solution (AVS) to join our IT infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and scaling our VMware environments, with a particular focus on advanced vSAN and AVS operations and troubleshooting. This role demands a deep technical acumen, leadership in complex virtualization projects, and a proactive approach to system management

 Key Responsibilities

 Strong hands-on experience with vCenter Server, ESXi, vSAN, and VMware Tools.

 Proficiency in creating and managing virtual machines, templates, snapshots, and clones.

 Knowledge of networking and storage concepts related to virtual environments.

 Experience with PowerCLI or other automation/scripting tools.

 Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

 Experience with VMware Horizon (VDI), vRealize Operations (vROps), or NSX is a plus.

 Familiarity with backup and replication tools (e. g. , Veeam, Commvault, Zerto).

 Requirements

•  Install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and associated components.

•  Monitor virtual infrastructure for performance, availability, and capacity planning.

•  Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of high-level issues involving vSphere, vSAN, and AVS, providing support and root cause analysis.

•  Perform regular maintenance, patching, and upgrades of VMware infrastructure.

•  Configure and manage high availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), vMotion, and Storage vMotion.

•  Work with storage, networking, and backup teams to ensure end-to-end system integrity.

•  Ensure compliance with security and operational policies through audits and system hardening.

•  Provide support during incidents, maintenance windows, and participate in an on-call rotation.

•  Participate in DR testing, backup and restore operations, and support change management processes.

•  Validate and ensure compliance of VMware deployments with company standards and industry best practices using vSphere Lifecycle Manager.

•  Maintain records of the conversations with the customer and analyze the data.

•  Handling customer queries on Chat and E-mails.
