Job Title: Video Editor & News Anchor (Mass Media & Journalism Background Preferred) Company: Apna Punjab Media Group Ny Location: Zirakpur, Punjab Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 1-3 Years Preferred Position Overview: We are currently hiring a dynamic Video Editor & News Anchor for our Zirakpur office. The ideal candidate should have a background in Mass Media or Journalism and hands-on experience in TV news production, including anchoring, video editing, and storytelling. Key Responsibilities: As a News Anchor: Present live and recorded news bulletins with clarity and professionalism. Write and edit scripts for news segments. Conduct interviews, field reporting, and voiceovers. Collaborate with reporters and producers to deliver accurate and timely news. As a Video Editor: Edit raw video footage for news segments, social media, and digital platforms. Add graphics, subtitles, transitions, and sound to enhance news content. Manage video archives and ensure timely delivery of edited content. Work closely with the editorial team for visual storytelling. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field (preferred). Strong command of Punjabi and Hindi (spoken and written); English is a plus. 1–3 years of experience in news anchoring and/or video editing. Proficient in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.). On-camera confidence, good voice modulation, and a professional presence. Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a Punjabi news channel or digital news platform. Understanding of social media video trends and formats (YouTube, Instagram, etc.). Familiarity with field reporting equipment and studio setup.
