Job Description

*Job Title:* Government Tender Manager

*Job Description:*

We are seeking an experienced Government Tender Manager to manage and execute government tenders for furniture work. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying relevant tenders, preparing and submitting bids, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. Additionally, they will develop and implement a tendering process and system to streamline our tender management activities.

*Roles & Responsibilities:*

1. *Tender Identification*:

- Regularly search for government tenders relevant to SMK Modulars LLP's products and services.

- Monitor tender portals, government websites, and other sources to stay updated on upcoming tenders.

2. *Bid Preparation*:

- Read and understand tender documents, ensuring compliance with requirements.

- Prepare and submit bids, ensuring all necessary documents are included.

- Coordinate with internal teams to gather required information and documentation.

3. *Pre-Bid Meetings*:

- Attend pre-bid meetings to clarify doubts and understand tender requirements.

- Take notes and ensure that all concerns are addressed in the bid.

4. *Document Management*:

- Ensure all required documents are prepared and submitted on time.

- Maintain accurate records of submitted bids and supporting documents.

5. *Government Liaisoning*:

- Build relationships with government officials and departments.

- Follow up on submitted bids and ensure timely responses to queries.

- Liaise with government departments to seek relief in eligibility criteria, if required.

6. *EMD Management*:

- Ensure timely submission of Earnest Money Deposits (EMDs) for tenders.

- Follow up for EMD returns after bid submission.

7. *Tender Tracking*:

- Develop and implement a tender management system to track tenders, including bid submission dates, tender values, and tender status.

- Ensure timely follow-up on submitted bids.

8. *Tender Process Development*:

- Develop and implement a standardized tendering process to streamline our tender management activities.

- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize our tendering process.

9. *MSME Benefits*:

- Ensure that SMK Modulars LLP's MSME status is utilized to avail benefits in tender processes.

*General Requirements:*

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.

*Minimum Requirements:*

- Minimum 3 years of experience in working with government tenders in the furniture or relevant industry.

*Requirements in terms of Skills, Knowledge, and Attitude:*

- Strong understanding of government tender processes and regulations.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to build relationships with government officials and departments.

- Positive attitude and proactive approach to tender management.

*Preferred Requirements:*

- Experience in the furniture industry or knowledge of furniture products and services.

- Familiarity with government tender portals and websites.

- Knowledge of MSME benefits and procedures.

*Performance Metrics:*

1. *Number of tenders submitted*: Track the number of tenders submitted within a given timeframe.

2. *Tender success rate*: Measure the percentage of tenders won out of total tenders submitted.

3. *Tender value*: Track the total value of tenders submitted and won.

4. *Timeliness*: Ensure timely submission of bids and follow-up on tender status.

5. *Relationship building*: Evaluate the strength of relationships built with government officials and departments.

6. *Compliance*: Ensure compliance with government regulations and tender requirements.

7. *Tender process and system development*: Evaluate the effectiveness of the tendering process and system developed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
