Job Description

You will be responsible for leading our Linux Database Support team as a Technical Support Manager, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of our database appliances through 24x7 support. Your primary focus will include managing a team of technical support professionals, providing guidance for career development and performance management. Your leadership will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, maintaining customer satisfaction, and enhancing overall technical support operations by successfully resolving customer issues. Your duties will involve leading and managing a team of technical support engineers, offering advanced troubleshooting and technical support for Linux-based database appliances, overseeing 24x7 rotational shifts for consistent high-quality support, maintaining a strong customer focus to enhance satisfaction, driving incident response efforts by coordinating with cross-functional teams, continuously evaluating and improving support processes, and collaborating with various teams to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of customer issues. To excel in this role, you are expected to bring in-depth knowledge of Linux administration and database management, experience with database appliances and hardware troubleshooting, a strong understanding of networking, storage systems, and performance tuning, along with excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Possessing certifications in Linux Administration, ITIL Foundation Certification, and CompTIA Project+ will be advantageous. Experience with database products such as DB2, Netezza, Teradata, etc., will be preferred.
