The MES Functional Lead role involves overseeing the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within manufacturing sites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the MES aligns with business processes and manufacturing operations, ultimately enhancing productivity, quality, and compliance. Your key responsibilities will include leading the deployment and configuration of MES solutions, providing technical and functional support for MES applications, troubleshooting and resolving MES-related issues, and ensuring system stability and performance. You will work closely with manufacturing, quality, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into MES functionalities. Additionally, you will manage MES projects from initiation to completion, develop training programs for end-users and stakeholders, and identify opportunities for system enhancements and process optimizations. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) and have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in MES implementation and support within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MES software (e.g., Apriso, Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Wonderware), SQL, and database management is essential. Strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and problem-solving skills will be crucial for success in this position. Possessing certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or relevant MES certifications would be advantageous. As the MES Functional Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that MES solutions comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. By collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and consultants, you will contribute to the successful operations of the MES system.
