For a Production Support (ProdOps) focal in Identity and Access Management (IAM), the skill set should focus on operational excellence, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth functioning of IAM systems. Here are the key skills and competencies required for this role:1. Technical Skills:o IAM Tools and Platforms: Proficiency in IAM solutions such as PingAccess, PingFederate, Ping Active Directory, PingOneSSO Setting up IDP and SP connections, Policies, Selectors, Adapters and contract mapping in PingFederate Access Token Management, Access Token Mapping, OIDC polices in PingFederate Creating Applications, Rules, Rulesets, coarse grain authorization etc in PingAccess Onboarding Applications into PingAccess and PingFederate Server and application certificate renewal o Authentication and Authorization Protocols: Understanding of protocols like SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and LDAP.o Database Management: Familiarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL) to manage user data and access logs.o Programming Language: Java/Pythono Cloud: Azure cloud and DevOps knowledgeo Scripting and Automation: Skills in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automating routine tasks and processes.2. Operational Skills:o Incident Management: Experience in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving IAM-related incidents and service requests. Working on ServiceNow tickets Application Troubleshooting and ServiceNow response 24x7x365 on-call support rotation (PagerDuty)o Monitoring and Reporting: Ability to monitor IAM systems for performance, security events, and compliance, and generate reports as needed. Troubleshooting skills/ability Control, monitor, and audit privileged access to systems and applications Develop metrics, alerts, integrate monitoring solutions, and dashboardo Change Management: Understanding of change management processes to implement updates and enhancements to IAM systems without disrupting services.3. Analytical Skills:o Root Cause Analysis: Skills in performing root cause analysis for recurring issues and implementing preventive measures.o Data Analysis: Ability to analyze logs and metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.4. Interpersonal Skills:o Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear updates and documentation.o Collaboration: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT support, security, and application development teams.5. Project Management:o Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile practices to manage ongoing support tasks and projects effectively.o Documentation: Skills in creating and maintaining documentation for processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.6.
