Qualification: GNM / B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife)
Registration: Must be registered with the Assam State Nursing Council

Job Summary:

SIMS Multispeciality Hospital, Nagaon, Assam, is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our nursing team. The candidate will provide quality nursing care to patients while supporting doctors and healthcare staff in all clinical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients including basic bedside care, medication assistance, and hygiene management.
• Monitor vital signs and report any abnormalities to the medical team.
• Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and daily nursing notes.
• Educate patients and families on basic healthcare and hygiene.
• Follow hospital protocols for infection prevention and patient safety.
• Respond to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the ward and patient surroundings.
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Clinical knowledge appropriate to ANM training
• Basic first-aid and patient care skills
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Caring and patient-centric attitude
• Ability to work in shifts and handle pressure situations

Work Environment:

• Hospital wards, outpatient departments, emergency units, etc.
• Rotational duty shifts including night duties, weekends, and holidays
