Job Description

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day network operations and maintenance in the Unified Collaborations domain. This includes handling customer change requests, ensuring platform uptime, managing incident and problem resolution, coordinating with cross-functional teams (CFT) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and providing escalation support for operations. This operational role focuses on delivering outcomes that directly impact daily operations, overseeing professional or technical staff, and reviewing the quality of their work. Your main duties will include: - Establishing and maintaining the infrastructure required for field and network operations to enhance network efficiency and availability. - Managing new enhancements and resolving issues promptly. - Handling proactive and reactive fault management, incident management, and customer communication during faults to ensure timely updates. - Collaborating with OEMs to address recurring issues, bugs, and implementing solutions following the change management process. - Identifying manual tasks and recurring activities for automation to improve operational efficiency. - Assessing CFT team's changes, frequency, and criticality, identifying gaps, and preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to minimize errors during changes. - Monitoring network performance to minimize disruptions in network transmission and switch operations. - Maintaining and securing network equipment across all sites. - Performing day-to-day Operations and Maintenance tasks such as installing and testing new network equipment, diagnosing and resolving issues, and ensuring optimal customer service. - Leading a small team or working as an individual contributor as per the role requirements. Desired Skill sets for this role include: - Proficiency in troubleshooting network, equipment, and service-level faults. - Ability to compile and present comprehensive vulnerability assessment reports. - Understanding of the domain and related technologies. - Knowledge of manual testing techniques to enhance environment understanding and reduce false positives/negatives.
