Job Type: Full-time Department: Evaluation / Inspection Reports To: Evaluation Manager / Branch Manager Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Car Evaluator to join our dynamic team. The Car Evaluator will be responsible for thoroughly inspecting and assessing the condition, value, and marketability of pre-owned vehicles. This role involves hands-on vehicle inspections, accurate report generation, and coordination with the sales and procurement teams. Key Responsibilities: Perform physical and mechanical inspections of used vehicles. Check body condition, engine, transmission, chassis, tires, interiors, and overall aesthetics. Conduct test drives to assess vehicle performance. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues. Capture detailed photos and record vehicle condition. Assign a fair market value to the vehicle based on evaluation, current market trends, and company pricing guidelines. Create comprehensive evaluation reports and submit them to the procurement/sales team. Identify and flag potential fraud or tampering (e.g., odometer rollback, chassis modifications). Interact with customers to explain evaluation results and address questions professionally. Maintain updated knowledge of vehicle pricing trends, brands, models, and features. Ensure compliance with company SOPs and quality standards during the evaluation process. Qualifications and Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in vehicle inspection, auto service, or related automotive roles. Good understanding of vehicle mechanics, features, and market valuation. Experience with vehicle scanning tools and diagnostic equipment. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Good communication and customer interaction skills. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
