Pre-Sales Application Engineer

This role includes delivering hands-on application support, providing training, optimizing test scenarios, and representing Keysight at key industry events.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver

  pre-sales technical support

  to customers and sales teams, positioning Keysight solutions aligned to 5G, RF, and ORAN test requirements.
• Provide

  application-level support

  including DUT testing, troubleshooting, test optimization, and automation.
• Conduct

  technical training

  for customers and internal teams on 3GPP test standards, Keysight tools, and test methodologies.
• Support

  test scenario optimization

  , reducing time and increasing efficiency in setups from edge to core.
• Liaise with R&D and factory teams for

  technical resolution

  and customer feedback loop.
• Present technical content confidently at

  industry seminars

  , conferences, and internal/external events.
• Keep abreast of

  industry trends

  , 3GPP releases, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform product development and go-to-market strategy.

Required Technical Expertise

• Strong understanding of 3GPP Releases 1518

  , RAN4, RAN5, and related test cases for gNB and UE.
• Experience with

  UE/chipset testing

  ,

  PTCRB/GCF certification

  , and

  CTIA testing

  .
• In-depth knowledge of

  ORAN architecture

  , testing (chapters 6, 7, 8), and

  TSN network setup

  for URLLC.
• Proven skills in

  L1 protocol testing

  , including MIMO, CA, handovers, and EN-DC/NR-DC scenarios.
• Proficiency in

  5G FR1 & FR2

  , RF and protocol stack (L1L3) measurements, and OTA calibration.
• Exposure to

  emerging technologies

  : C-V2X, NTN, IoT, Industry 4.0.
• Hands-on experience with

  Keysight test solutions

  , including:
• UXM 5G, Signal Generator/Analyzer, VXT, PROPSIM, VSA
• PathWave software platform
• NES and Edge-to-Core (E2C) solutions
• Working knowledge of

  automation and scripting

  .
• Familiarity with

  cellular and connectivity protocols

  (LTE, 5G NR, 802.11ax, Bluetooth, GPS).

Educational Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering
