Job Title: SolidWorks Designer – Mechanical Design (2-3 Years Experience)
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SolidWorks Designer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and industrial component drafting. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication (SS, MS, PP materials) and should be capable of designing tanks, plant layouts, structural frameworks, and metal components related to industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 2D/3D designs using SolidWorks based on project requirements.
• Design industrial tanks, mechanical components, plant layouts, and fabrication structures.
• Prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing and fabrication processes.
• Collaborate with the production and installation team to ensure accurate implementation.
• Coordinate with clients and visit project sites as required (travel involved).
• Modify existing designs to improve functionality or meet updated requirements.
• Maintain project documentation and adhere to company standards.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in SolidWorks 2D/3D modeling and drafting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Expertise in sheet metal fabrication (SS, MS, PP).
• Ability to design electroplating plant layouts, tanks, and custom industrial structures.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical standards and tolerances.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in SolidWorks-based design in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Willingness to travel to client/project locations when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹39,013.62 per month
