Software Developer 1

As a member of the software engineering division at Oracle, you will utilize your basic knowledge of software architecture to undertake tasks related to the development, debugging, and design of software applications or operating systems in accordance with specified design specifications. Your responsibilities will include enhancing existing software applications, developing new reports involving SQL data fetching, processing, and representation based on requirements, as well as engaging in requirement gathering, project scope understanding, work estimation, and efficient task planning and execution. You will be expected to handle client calls, collaborate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met, participate in component-level technical design discussions, and perform debugging with documented root cause analysis and resolutions. Additionally, you will identify and propose process improvements at the team level to support both operations and the development ecosystem, provide support for software releases, and acquire an understanding of healthcare workflows and the Millennium data model. To be considered for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or Information Systems. Proficiency in SQL, PL-SQL, Database Management Systems, Programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++), Debugging, Version Control (Git), Unit Testing, and Data Analysis is essential. Soft skills such as Problem-Solving, Collaboration, Communication, Attention to Detail, Adaptability, Time Management, Continuous Learning, and Mentorship are also required. It would be advantageous to have experience with Business Intelligence Tools (Tableau, Business Object, Power Insight, DA2), CCL, and Healthcare Workflow. In addition to technical skills, you are expected to work additional or irregular hours as required, adhere to corporate and organizational security policies, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any security compromises within your scope of work.
