Applications are invited for the post of Senior Project Manager in the Office of Faculty Affairs at IIT Kanpur. Post is purely temporary and on contractual basis for a period of one year or till the end of project, whichever is earlier. Details of requirement are as below:

Post graduate degree + 12 years of relevant experience

Desired qualification

  • Person should have at least ten (10) years’ experience of handling purchase procedures both Import and local purchase.
  • Maintaining the stock registers, Vendor management, and bill processing for purchases.
  • Audit and Stock Verification, Administrative and managerial skills.
  • Logistics and Travel Arrangements
  • Knowledge of Office Procedures, Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and adaptability

12-15 years of experience as an Administration

36000-3000-90000

Working hours

9.30 am - 6.00 pm


(i)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Planning, coordinating, and managing all administrative procedures and systems.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to streamline processes.
  • Managing Purchases, direct and through Institute by tendering process, Gem-Government e-marketplace.
  • Maintaining accounts statement of office (consumables, non-consumable).
  • Handling all aspects of purchase including payment to vendors, book-keeping of purchased items, ensuring proper handover of equipment and consumables to right person in the office, maintaining files.
  • Dealing with departments (Audit/R&D/Central Stores/Accounts/IWD-Pingla) and operating units in resolving day-to-day operational problems.
  • Teamwork and Office management skills
  • Other responsibilities as assigned from time to time

Initially for a period of one year from the extension period or performance.
