Job Description

Responsibilities

Translate COBOL batch logic into modular Java components.
Develop cloud-ready microservices for EFT batch processing.
Handle file-based input/output workflows using modern APIs or cloud storage.
Collaborate with QA and mainframe SMEs to validate business logic.
Integrate with databases and message queues (Kafka/SQS) as needed.

Required Skills

5+ Years of experience in Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, JPA/Hibernate
Strong understanding of batch workflows, file parsing, scheduled jobs
Hands-on experience/Knowledge with cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Git, REST, JSON/XML

Nice To Have

Knowledge of banking/EFT file formats (NACHA, ISO 20022)
Experience working on COBOL Mainframe → Java modernization projects
Familiarity with EFT batch flows or banking file standards (e.g., NACHA, ISO 20022)
Familiarity with CI/CD and containerization (Docker)
